why the space?
April 18th, 2006 by Jaredwhat's the big deal with myspace? everyone's on myspace doing blogs, uploading photos, making friends…
does anyone remember that the old mellentine.com had all of these features 3 years ago? no one wanted any part of it back then. everyone wanted their own blog and their own website. but now, everyone wants to be on myspace. whatever… i'm not bitter, but i wish people would make up their minds.

I'm not quite sure why it was nobody else loved Mellentine.com like I did… I absolutely loved it, but I think that part of the allure of myspace vs. mellentine.com was that absolutely everybody in the world is on myspace, and only just our friends were on mellentine.com. I think also it might be the profile thing. There really wasn't a profile system on Mellentine.com. On myspace everything about you is sort of neatly contained on a personal page. It's sort of like blogger on steroids. It's the best of both worlds.
